Remember to Remember

It’s easy to forget all the little things God does for us day by day. Keeping us safe while we sleep, waking us up every day, having the use of our limbs, sight, hearing, the ability to articulate our thoughts clearly. The list goes on and on. Nothing we do is done without the power of God working in us to get it done.

It’s vital that we have a perpetual attitude of gratitude when it comes to this awesome thing we call life! Gratitude will change or increase your altitude, everything around you will look better, feel better, act better – you will be high on life!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Change or renew your mind, think about things from a different perspective. Raise your thoughts, standards and expectations, and your life will reflect your high place. I absolutely believe, if your thinking is positive, grateful, and loving you will experience more of these things in your life. Circumstances, situations and yes people can cause us to look at things from a low place; a place of hopelessness, loneliness, depression, oppression, despair, anger or pain. But we can live a life that is void of these things: I like to call these things “stuff”. Stuff happens in everyone’s life, it’s what we do in response to that stuff that makes the difference.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation (Stuff): but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Nay, in all these things (Stuff) we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:37

One person may get bad news from the doctor and react as if they just got a death sentence. While another person gets the same diagnosis and smiles; not because they are crazy, but because they know that the doctor’s diagnosis is not God’s prognosis. The doctor gives a diagnosis based on miscellaneous information, symptoms and on what you say is wrong. God has given us His word which has many proven and documented cases of health and healing. He sent His word to heal us, He sent His Son so that by the stripes Jesus Christ suffered we can be healed and whole. The Great Physician is the final authority when it comes to our health and wholeness.

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the Lord that healeth thee. Exodus 15:26

But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

What you say gives others a clear view into what you believe. If you believe you are in a great relationship, have an incredible family and friends, are surrounded with love and acceptance, and all is well in your life - your conversations will reflect that. You will consistently talk about how grateful you are for all the wonderful people and things in your world. You will smile, laugh, play and enjoy your life. On the other hand, if you feel hopeless, unloved, insecure, depressed and etcetera - you will sound like a broken record repeating all that’s wrong in your life.

Remember to remember that everything works together for your good. Remember to remember that you are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who loves you. Remember to remember that all your needs are met according God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Remember to remember that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed according to your faith.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. Romans 8:28

Oh yea, all the good stuff above comes to you by faith. According to your faith be it unto you - If you believe it, you will see it. As long as it is in line with God’s word and His will for your life, you will have what you desire. There is no good thing that God will withhold from you if you walk upright before Him; every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord. All things are possible to you if you believe, and of course nothing is impossible for God. So remember whose and who you are, figure out what’s available to you as a child of the most-high God and walk in that knowing.

Then touched he their eyes, saying, according to your faith be it unto you. Matthew 9:29

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11:22

When stuff shows up (good, bad or ugly) no matter what it looks like; remember the word of God which says, you are the head, you are above, you are blessed when you come in and go out, everything you do prospers, you are the righteousness of God in Christ. Remember you are who God says you are!

Negative self-limiting thoughts and actions don’t serve you. Stop beating yourself up over things done in the past, press today toward the mark of the high calling. You have been called to a higher place: a place of love, forgiveness, peace, happiness, joy, health, prosperity and abundance.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

My friend, if there is anything I want you to take from this message it is, to remember that your steps are ordered by the Lord and He has ordained your path. So step on, walk into you destiny with your head held high, your shoulders back and a pep in your step. Yes, that’s it! You look like the man, the woman God created you to be, shaped by your experiences, perfected by His grace.

Remember to Remember – God is… therefore you are.
