The universe is calling you!

March 31, 2015
The universe is calling you!
Have you ever felt that you were put here for something more than the mundane day to day experiences most people face?

That is the universe calling you, it is God's way of letting you know that it is time for you to pursue your purpose. It is time for you to make a difference in this world, in this lifetime.

If you have been wondering why you are here, sit down with pen and paper in hand, write out all the things that come to mind that you have always wanted to do. Take your time, don't concern yourself with your ability to do these things, simply write down your desires. Once you have done that, choose the top five and write a sentence about why you want to do that thing. How would you feel if you were doing that thing right now? Would you be helping or impacting other people's lives? How would your life be different?

Now out of the five, choose your top three, these are the things you will focus on first, now pick the top One on your list. The number one thing on your list is priority #1, start writing, thinking, talking to yourself about, meditating on and making plans to Do it. The how will come as you move forward steadily toward your desired end.

It's no accident that you are wondering what you are here for, what you should be doing in life, how you can contribute more to society, your community, even your family. God has specific plans for you and you are right on time. Accept the appointment by taking the steps above. You will discover your purpose and live the LifeStyle of your dreams, when you do the thing(s) that put smiles on people's faces. By doing the thing that makes others smile, you will begin to smile yourself and feel happiness like never before.

Answer your call today!

Pursue Your Purpose with Passion and Power.

ARE YOU HAPPY?

April 14, 2014
 Are you HAPPY?

I mean really happy. Can you honestly say Yes, regardless of what is going on around you?

This is a rhetorical question, that you need to answer.

Happiness is a state of mind (thinking, thoughts, feelings), it's your perspective on your life experiences. You CHOOSE to be happy.

There is no person or thing or circumstance that can make you happy. It's a personal thing. God has given you all the Stuff you need to remain in a perpetual state of happiness.

Now, don't get me wrong, there are constant things, situations and people that can affect your attitude in a moment. You can be smiling, humming, dancing, singing or giving praises for just being alive. Happy! When the clerk at the store, who's having a bad day, projects her attitude toward you...all hell breaks loose inside you.

Are you still happy in that moment? Did that stranger ruin your day?

Not if you are conscious of the forces out to get you. Oh, I hope you know there are forces, powers and negative energy on assignment to keep you from your purpose. Your purpose is directly tied to your happiness.

Our reaction to a thing, person, or situation determines our state of mind. You have POWER over All the power that can ever come against you!

Your job, should you decide to accept it, is to purposefully go to bed at night thinking happy thoughts (please stop watching the news before bed), having a smile on your face. Then waking up in the morning with a smile in your heart (please don't start your day watching or reading the news).

This practice of having happy, loving, grateful thoughts before sleep and immediately upon awaking, causes your subconscious mind (inward man, Spirit) to attract to you the happiness you desire in every area of your life. It may seem silly now, but try it for a week straight and I guarantee you will see, feel and know there has been a shift in your life.

Next time we will talk about how Affirmations will keep you happy day and night.

See you next time ❤️Always Annette Patterson, LES

Remember to Remember

August 15, 2011

Remember to Remember

It’s easy to forget all the little things God does for us day by day. Keeping us safe while we sleep, waking us up every day, having the use of our limbs, sight, hearing, the ability to articulate our thoughts clearly. The list goes on and on. Nothing we do is done without the power of God working in us to get it done.

It’s vital that we have a perpetual attitude of gratitude when it comes to this awesome thing we call life! Gratitude will change or increase your altitude, everything around you will look better, feel better, act better – you will be high on life!

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8

Change or renew your mind, think about things from a different perspective. Raise your thoughts, standards and expectations, and your life will reflect your high place. I absolutely believe, if your thinking is positive, grateful, and loving you will experience more of these things in your life. Circumstances, situations and yes people can cause us to look at things from a low place; a place of hopelessness, loneliness, depression, oppression, despair, anger or pain. But we can live a life that is void of these things: I like to call these things “stuff”. Stuff happens in everyone’s life, it’s what we do in response to that stuff that makes the difference.

These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation (Stuff): but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33

Nay, in all these things (Stuff) we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. Romans 8:37

One person may get bad news from the doctor and react as if they just got a death sentence. While another person gets the same diagnosis and smiles; not because they are crazy, but because they know that the doctor’s diagnosis is not God’s prognosis. The doctor gives a diagnosis based on miscellaneous information, symptoms and on what you say is wrong. God has given us His word which has many proven and documented cases of health and healing. He sent His word to heal us, He sent His Son so that by the stripes Jesus Christ suffered we can be healed and whole. The Great Physician is the final authority when it comes to our health and wholeness.

And said, If thou wilt diligently hearken to the voice of the Lord thy God, and wilt do that which is right in his sight, and wilt give ear to his commandments, and keep all his statutes, I will put none of these diseases upon thee, which I have brought upon the Egyptians: for I [am] the Lord that healeth thee. Exodus 15:26

But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. Isaiah 53:5

What you say gives others a clear view into what you believe. If you believe you are in a great relationship, have an incredible family and friends, are surrounded with love and acceptance, and all is well in your life - your conversations will reflect that. You will consistently talk about how grateful you are for all the wonderful people and things in your world. You will smile, laugh, play and enjoy your life. On the other hand, if you feel hopeless, unloved, insecure, depressed and etcetera - you will sound like a broken record repeating all that’s wrong in your life.

Remember to remember that everything works together for your good. Remember to remember that you are more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who loves you. Remember to remember that all your needs are met according God’s riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Remember to remember that by Jesus’ stripes you are healed according to your faith.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to [his] purpose. Romans 8:28

Oh yea, all the good stuff above comes to you by faith. According to your faith be it unto you - If you believe it, you will see it. As long as it is in line with God’s word and His will for your life, you will have what you desire. There is no good thing that God will withhold from you if you walk upright before Him; every good and perfect gift comes from the Lord. All things are possible to you if you believe, and of course nothing is impossible for God. So remember whose and who you are, figure out what’s available to you as a child of the most-high God and walk in that knowing.

Then touched he their eyes, saying, according to your faith be it unto you. Matthew 9:29

And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. Mark 11:22

When stuff shows up (good, bad or ugly) no matter what it looks like; remember the word of God which says, you are the head, you are above, you are blessed when you come in and go out, everything you do prospers, you are the righteousness of God in Christ. Remember you are who God says you are!

Negative self-limiting thoughts and actions don’t serve you. Stop beating yourself up over things done in the past, press today toward the mark of the high calling. You have been called to a higher place: a place of love, forgiveness, peace, happiness, joy, health, prosperity and abundance.

Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but [this] one thing [I do], forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,14I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. Philippians 3:13-14

My friend, if there is anything I want you to take from this message it is, to remember that your steps are ordered by the Lord and He has ordained your path. So step on, walk into you destiny with your head held high, your shoulders back and a pep in your step. Yes, that’s it! You look like the man, the woman God created you to be, shaped by your experiences, perfected by His grace.

Remember to Remember – God is… therefore you are.

WHAT DID YOU SAY?

February 18, 2011

Most of us say the first thing that comes to mind. Rarely do we count the costs of the words we speak. Think about it, how many times have you spoken without thinking of the consequences of your words?

We’ve all been there, regretting the statement we just made, wishing we could take it back. Maybe even looking at the reaction of someone who heard and was shocked or hurt by the words we spoke or the way we said them.

Personally, I could not understand what the big deal was when I would speak honestly (without much of a filter) to people. Feelings would be hurt, they would end up with nasty attitudes or brush me off all together. What didn’t make sense to me was that, all I did was tell them what they already knew… the truth. The truth according to Annette’s interpretation of the situation that is. Perhaps that’s why my words were not received well in some cases, because I presented them in a ‘know it all’ fashion, what do you think?

Have you ever been so sure about a thing that it didn’t matter what the real facts were? Hahaha, who will be honest with me it’s just us here? Many a good marriage, friendship, or business relationship has been ruined by someone who thought they knew what they were talking about, and would not admit their mistake when faced with it. This is a bit off topic but important when being mindful of our words, the delivery of those words and the affect those words will have on others.

Our words are directly linked to our thinking, and our lives are directly linked to our words. In other words, what you think about, you talk about and what you talk about - you live. What you think about and talk about, you are about. Don’t take my word for it, let’s look at a couple of scripture references (KJV).

For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he - Proverbs 23:7.

I know this scripture is talking about being mindful of the company you keep, but the section above is true in all our lives. You are what you think about, because what you think about you will talk about and ultimately live based on your words.

For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned - Matthew 12:37.

…for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh - Matthew 12:34

Our lives are directly effected by what we think and what we say. In fact, I will go as far as to declare that our words design our life experiences. Let me make it simple: if we think and speak about mostly negative things, our life experiences will be negative. On the other hand, if we think and speak mostly about positive things, we will enjoy a lifestyle that is full of positive experiences and happiness.

If you want to know what someone is thinking pay attention to their conversation. The words they speak will be a clear reflection of what’s on their mind. Take note of your own words and your thoughts will become visible. If you are concentrating on the state of the world, the devastation, despair and hopelessness, it will be evident in your conversations and countenance. You will begin to feel devastated and hopeless.

If you are thinking about sickness and disease, you will find yourself discussing illness often and may be sick yourself. I do believe that you can talk yourself to death! Your words are powerful and effective tools that can be used for your good or to kill you. Slowly but surely killing off parts of your life, till nothing is left.

If you are thinking about how blessed you are, you will be talking about being grateful for all the good in your life, for your family, friends, income, home, health - and more good will be your reality. Take a look at this,

Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue (moral excellence/admirable quality), and if there be any praise, think on these things - Philippians 4:8.

We have to elevate our thinking if we want to live a lifestyle which is above everyday circumstances (issues). We have to keep our thoughts in check so that our words are reflective of what we want and not the opposite.

What did you say?

This is a question we need to ask ourselves daily, so that we are mindful of what we are concentrating on and talking about. Our words are powerful and alive, yes I said your words have life in them and if not policed will take you down a path of evil not good, death not life. I want to add, the words you speak directly effect you but, the people around you are indirectly affected by what you say as well.

Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof - Proverbs 18:21.

A wholesome tongue is a tree of life: but perverseness therein is a breach in the spirit - Proverbs 15:4.

Whoso keepeth his mouth and tongue keepeth his soul from troubles - Proverbs 21:23.

Out of the same mouth proceeded blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be - James 3:10.

What did you say?

Did you say you are having an awful day? Did you say times are so hard you don’t know if you can make it? Did you say you are sick and may not recover? Did you say your marriage is over? Did you say you will probably be fired soon? Did you say there is no hope for your child?

What did you say, my friend?

Did you say I am glad to see a new day? Did you say this illness will not get the best of me? Did you say I love my spouse and our marriage can be saved? Did you say the economy may be bad, but I’m grateful for my job/income? Did you say God is good to me and my family? Did you say my child will be saved?

Can you see the difference your life experiences will be based on the thoughts you have and the words you speak?

I’ve known for over thirty years that my words are a powerful force in my life and the lives of others. When I began monitoring my words I came face to face with my thoughts. I would look at my circumstances and react to what I thought might happen. Most of the time it wasn’t as bad as I assumed it would be, and could have always turned out better if I had been proactive in my thinking, concentrating on the good instead of assuming the worst.

By the way assume means, to accept without proof. I had no proof it would turn out bad, but because I thought it would or assumed it would - it did. Now let me clarify, because I thought it would turn out bad, I did nothing to work toward a more favorable outcome. When we are convinced (in our mind/thoughts) about anything good or bad, we move toward that belief. If we believe it will be good we behave as if we already have the good. If we believe it will be bad we get depressed, sad, mad, we behave as if we already have the bad. We are about what we think and talk about - no matter who we are.

I know it may seem to some that the subject has changed, but your thoughts are what you believe about a thing. And what you believe in you talk about and act on.

What did you say?

I know you have already begun to think about your thoughts and words, that’s great! Now as you are slower to speak, you can redirect your words to reflect the positive outcome you want and now expect….every time.

Think about what you want to see in your life and the lives of those around you. It helps me to write down my positive thoughts, turning them into affirmations that I revisit often to keep my mind on track. As your thoughts become clearer, start saying aloud what you want to see and your life will begin to reflect what you say.

Therefore I say unto you, what things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them - Mark 11:24.

The Best is Yet to Come!

December 19, 2010

2010 has been an awesome year!  I told you it would be if you believe in your God-given abilities and purpose! Knowing that God's got you and it's always going to turn around for your good.

As most of you know I wrote and published a new book which was released in August: 7 steps to receiving the desires of your heart (A biblical approach to true prosperity). It is an interactive guide, which will lead you to your true destiny when the principles and practices are applied to your life.

Many men and women have had transforming experiences after reading and taking the simple steps from the book. The steps are: 1) Seek the kingdom of God 2) Trust in the Lord 3) Commit thy way unto the Lord 4) Cease from anger 5) Walk in love 6) Speak the word of God 7) Rest in the Lord. The steps are very simple when you make up your mind to live your life to it's fullest. But due to the subtle forces all around us that seek to keep us down, it's not that easy, it is however worth it! You know the saying, if it's worth having it's worth working for, I'm sure that was a mis-quote but you get the idea. Some days it may seem as if nothing is going the way you want it to, just hold on, don't give up, keep moving toward your desired end and before you know it you will be living your dreams!

2011 is going to be even better than this year, with new opportunities for success, doors opening that have been shut, favor with people who seemingly never really liked you and more. Watch you will see a shift in your life in 2011, a radical flow of good and happiness. You will be blessed when you come in, blessed when you go out, blessed in business, blessed at home, blessed within your inner circle, blessed in your body and mind. The blessings of the Lord will overflow in your life in 2011!

Today begin refecting on 2010 and all the good things that God has done for and through you. I want you to leave this year and enter into next year with an attitude of gratitude! Stay grateful for every good thing, all day every day; find things to say thank you for and as you do that, your world will begin to transform. You will experience more good, better health, stronger relationships, inner peace and joy.

God has given each of us everything we need to be, do and have what we need and desire in this life and the one to come. All we have to do is trust Him and choose to live each day to it's fullest!

I pray each of you is having a blessed holiday season (stress free) - let me stop here for a bit. This year take some pressure off yourself, slow down, think about what you are doing, are your actions laying a foundation for the future, will your running around shopping bring lasting joy to someone's life or will they lay aside the gift you buy or put it on a shelf and re-gift it next year? Have a stress free, pressure free holiday season and remember the reason for the season - J E S U S!

*If anyone you know is in need of sound, practical counseling refer them to me at apministries@hotmail.com or www.stayblessed.net. Sometimes this season causes some to peope to feel alone, depressed and hopeless, they may need someone to talk to, encourage and listen to them.

Those who have your copies of my new book visit the website or email me and tell me what you got or are getting from it. Think about it, just one God-idea can make the difference in your life. If you have not gotten your copy yet, go to www.stayblessed.net today and get a signed copy from me.

God Bless, Annette Patterson, LES
